CSci 300: Social Responsibility in Computer Science
Course Development

In the late 1980's the Department introduced material on computing ethics and social responsibility into CSci 211, the required undergraduate file systems course. In response to suggestions made by the CSAB accreditation visiting team in 1989, the Department created this one-hour course to give more attention to social and ethical issues.

Until his retirement in 1995, Prof. Charles Evans taught this course. Prof. Robert Cook taught the fall 1995 offering of the course.

Prof. Conrad Cunningham taught the fall 1996, fall 1997, and fall 1998 classes.
