CSci 211: File Systems
Course Development

The "file systems" course has been part of the undergraduate computer science core since the early 1980's. It was originally based on the ACM curriculum's CS5 course proposal. Link to the old syllabus?

During the 1996 fall semester Prof. Conrad Cunningham taught an experimental version of the course. The course focused on "software interfaces" and will use the Java language. See the syllabus for more information.

Prof. Robert Cook taught a Java-based version of the course in the spring of 1997. Ms. Laurie Murphy is doing the same during the second summer term of 1997.
